The Candian Rural Revitalization Foundation and Rural Development Institutes' National Rural Think Tank 2005 – attracted fifty key researchers, policy personnel and practitioners from across Canada to discuss immigration in the context of rural communities’ strategies for development and renewal. Sessions focused on: the existing state of research on immigration and rural Canada and what further efforts are required for research to respond to the challenges, opportunities and issues surrounding immigration and rural Canada.
